Rochester Rhinos choose GoBuyRochester.com to host their first-ever men's health jersey auction

This Saturday, the Rochester Rhinos will be partnering with Urology Associates of Rochester (UAR) and GoBuyRochester.com to hold the first-ever Rhinos men’s health jersey auction. The auction will feature special edition, game-worn, autographed blue jerseys, and will run online from July 7th through July 21st at the Go Buy Rochester website. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit two organizations involved in the fight against prostate cancer: the Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital and ZERO: The Project to End Prostate Cancer.

"Men's health in general and prostate cancer in particular are important issues our community is trying to deal with," Rochester Rhinos President and Chief Operating Officer Pat Ercoli said. "We want to help UAR spread the word that early detection is a key factor in the fight against prostate cancer. As we bring the community together to support the Rhinos on Saturday night, we also want to support the Lipson Cancer Center and ZERO in a worthy cause.”

Saturday, July 7th, the Rhinos will be hosting the Dayton Dutch Lions at Sahlen’s Stadium while wearing special “men’s health” jerseys to raise awareness of prostate cancer. Those same jerseys will then be autographed and auctioned off at GoBuyRochester.com. UAR is partnering with the Rhinos for this special game and will be providing free on-site screenings for prostate cancer.

“We are excited about this new partnership with the Rochester Rhinos,” said Dr. David Dever of UAR. “Every opportunity to focus on prostate cancer awareness is valuable. Early detection and treatment are so important in the fight against prostate cancer, and the Rhinos’ support of our ongoing educational efforts will make a positive difference.”

Proceeds from the auction of the autographed, game-worn jerseys will go to the Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital and ZERO: The Project to End Prostate Cancer. Go Buy Rochester is proud to partner with the Rochester Rhinos to support these great organizations. The blind auction will be accessible at GoBuyRochester.com and will go live Saturday evening when the gates at Sahlen’s Stadium open. The jersey auction will end on July 21st, following the Rhinos’ next home game.
